Skoda Kodiaq was SO CLOSE to look really great, but…

All posts

Since the AutoIQ story is long over, I have no more chance to photograph interesting cars and publish them. Most of the cars I’ve published in 2017 are from the archive, but a friend of mine got me a half an hour with the new Skoda Kodiaq. I couldn’t resist that, so I took my camera and only one lens (Sigma 24mm f/1.4 ART) and I went to capture a couple of photos. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time, and the car was a bit dirty, so I had to work with what I got.

The reason why I only took one lens was the time – I didn’t want to think about “what lens should I take now?” and loose time. Ok, I might’ve taken the 85mm with me for more details, but since the 24mm has f/1.4, I knew that I would be able to get nice detail shots with that lens also.

I have one BIG critique on the look! The back looks like the Chinese copy of the BMW X5 – the Shuanguan SCEO. I hate it!

The interior

Love the seats

An umbrella in the doors – so Rolls Royce!

The exterior details

Is it a Range Rover?! Love the angle!

Nice touch – this is how you protect your doors

And, the overall

I hate to admit, but the back looks like the Chinese copy of the BMW X5 – Shuanguan SCEO
