After nine long years, HNK Hajduk Split has beaten GNK Dinamo Zagreb on their own stadium, and if that wasn't enough, that victory helped Rijeka (who is currently first in the championship) to have one hand on the championship title. Dinamo won the second semi-final match against Hajduk and proceeded to the finals

After an amazing day on the Zagreb Auto Show 2016, it was time for the second match of the semi-finals of the Croatian cup between GNK Dinamo Zagreb and HNK Hajduk Split. I didn't stay until the end, the first half was enough. In the first match, which was played in Split, Dinamo won with 0-2, and they only confirmed their superiority by winning with an even higher score - 4:0 (overall 6:0). Unfortunately, I didn't have time to photograph the entire match between GNK Dinamo Zagreb and HNK Hajduk Split – the biggest Croatian football derby. I came almost two hours earlier to photograph Hajduk's fans arriving to the stadium. Fortunately, there wasn't any problems, but I captured a couple of shots of the fans and the police. (more…)...

Outside the biggest derby in Croatian football

Tonight we’ve witnessed something we haven’t seen for many seasons in the Croatian national league. The first man of Dinamo Zagreb, Zdravko Mamic, and the coach Zoran Mamic, were arrested which made fans very happy. Because of that, they’ve decided to come to the match after a long time. Bad Blue boys weren’t the only fans who decided to get back to the stadion, Torcida (Hajduk fans) also decided to come and support Hajduk Split. Tonight, there was around 25.000 fans on the Maksimir stadium. These are mostly images of the BBB going from the Kvaternik square to the Maksimir stadium, and there are a couple of photos from the stadium. Before the start, two fractions of the Bad Blue Boys got into a fight on the North stand, but the police stopped it very fast. (more…)...
