While I was walking around Tvrđa (translated: fortress), the oldest part of Osijek, I noticed that there are old buildings which are preserved and which look beautiful. The Esterhazy castle in Darda was in even worse shape than I expected, it’s completely ruined

Just a couple of kilometers away from the Eugen Savojski castle in Bilje, I came to Darda to photograph the Esterhazy castle. The information when the castle was built is unknown, but it's somewhere in the transition from the 18th to the 19th century, and it's assumed that the builder was Ivan Kazimir Esterhazy, somewhere in 1813. The first castle on the list is the Eugen Savojski castle in Bilje, located just near Osijek

In the end of March this year, I went to the capital of Slavonia - Osijek. While I was there, I decided to make a short photo series about three castles around the city.
